| Quote WILLOWSTOURS="WILLOWSTOURS"I said since HKR home game we won’t win again, and it’s down to Toulouse and Wakefield now, I still stick by that,I’m afraid our future is in the hands of the RL gods, all wire fans should prey twice a day from now till end of the season.'"
We won’t pick up many points between now and the end of the season, but I’m certain we’ll win on Thursday night. We’re bad, but Toulouse just aren’t quite good enough to win on Thursday or pick up enough points between now and the end of the season to seriously trouble us. Not that any of that makes this season acceptable, regardless.
A shame for Toulouse though, as at the start of the season, I really would’ve liked them to have stayed up and see Wakefield go down, as it would’ve been good for rugby league in France and the league in general for them to grow and become an established Super League team. Unfortunately though, I fear they’ll go down and we won’t see them back up for a very long time, if at all.

| I’d share your optimism about next year if we had a different coach.

| Quote WILLOWSTOURS="WILLOWSTOURS"Pie-eyter you missed out kasiano is that by mistake or maybe you didn’t like to mention big Sam, we wanted rid of cooper for what ever reasons he didn’t leave he wanted contract and didn’t get one, Vaughan is one of the form props in the NRL and if not mistaken three years younger than cooper PS watch this space about wardle king deal, why do you think we moved for the deal as soon as wayne picked him for England, even tho he couldn’t get into Huddersfield side.'"
I hadn't forgotten about Kasiano. No doubt destructive but i liken him to Mago. Ok for a 10 minute spell but i don't like props that can't do big minutes. I have no idea what is going on with Wardle but Hudds have just signed Niquama, given Cudjoe a new deal and Bibby we think is a done deal so i don't see a spot for King over there. It's certainly a head scratcher. Vaughan comes with baggage and it just screams of a last payday type of deal. You have had more than your fair share of them in the last 10 years.I really rate Wrench, i think he is a class act so if you do get Wardle your centres are sorted for the next decade because they will be right at the top in terms of SL centres. In reply to Moe, I would take the Cooper deal rather than the Vaughan one. Cooper is a cert in terms of what he is going to bring to the game whereas Vaughan is an unknown. He isn't showing signs of slowing down and i see him as a Menzies, Peacock, Morley type who just keeps rolling into his late 30s. Warrington at the minute are the Man Utd of Rugby League. Something somewhere is broken and nobody seems to be able to find out where it is.

Vaughan is still performing well in the nrl for a team that has been seriously struggling. If Cooper is a menzies/peacock/Morley type(I love the guy, but its embarrassing lumping him in with those 3!!)then why only a 1 year deal?

| I didn't liken him to those 3. His age was mentioned and i said i could see him rolling on into his late 30s like those 3.

Replacing a 30 odd year old prop with three 30 odd year old props is hardly a big change. It's borderline insane if it's longevity you are looking for.

| We do have a problem with signing final years payday players but all teams sign players, who they obviously think would improve their team, big payday players like George Burgess say!! And you just hope they perform, some come up with the goods some flop, but that’s the nature of big money clubs trying to improve their squads.

| I think some Hull fans are getting a but carried away for Longstaff, he has done well, works hard and has a real eye for a try, particularly from a kick, however he needs bulk up as can get dominated in attack and defence.
I'd definitely keep him at Hull next year though.
