| Attendances are and will continue to fall (across all Clubs), until the game gets back to its previous format.
Officiating has been a huge factor in helping to kill the game by its amateur woeful performance.
We could list a plethora of cock ups made by officials (regrettably far too many errors influential on the games), to the point we hear the ref at the Wakey game last week, has apologised to Warrington for his mistakes....
For crowds to come back the game needs to change and be more like the game we all saw 8-10 years ago, recognise that it IS a contact sport - it is not Netball....
I have watched a lot of NRL this year, and have to say that the gap in skill, entertainment even commentary is nothing short of light years apart.
I haven't set foot in the HJ since pre Lockdown, and since last year, have seen nothing that makes me want to return - ignoring the fact that we are utter garbage, the game itself is boring.
This regrettably is evidenced by attendances, and this will only get worse, as money is tight, so we are having to prioritise where we spend it, and SL simply does not deliver any more.
Shame, but till someone wakes up and smells the coffee in the RFL, though for me, thats where a lot of the problems emanate, things will only get worse, SKY will re-evaluate (only their money would be the loss....nothing else, punditry is a complete joke), and probably walk away.

8,278. The highest attendance of the round . . .

| Quote: RogerMoore "Last week there were 3 games on Sunday. As has been said before Sunday has become a family day, especially when the weather is nice. As others have said the main problems are the RFL hierarchy and the standard of officiating, but Sundays dont' help.'"
I don't think that the day of the week argument is an argument that the club or the RFL would ever win.
Thursday is a working day and certainly not great for travelling along the 62 or perhaps for kids. I don't mind a Friday myself as it can set your weekend up nicely (although not on current form) and there's something about games under the lights. Saturday is a chores/doing day for many although a teatime kick off before a night out could appeal and then there's Sunday which works for me generally speaking as I'd like to bring some younger family members along to the HJ once we get some form
I think it's just a case of people having busy lives and options and with the current fare on offer and the call on their purses many existing spectators and potential new attendees will be put off any day of the week

| Well I'll be going to my first match for several years on Friday.
Covid, costs and time involved getting to and from the match as well as apathy towards the way we played all contributed.
Added to the fact that I can see the full match on WireTV for £6.99 a month (but a few days later), there are more options.
So now I'm combining with a trip up to Warrington, and even though I dont expect much from the team, I still love rugby league and am confident that things will turn round at some point.

It’s the hope that kills us….
