Quote: lefty goldblatt "Exactly.
Under Price, we mirrored an Aussie side that plays a grade below NRL level (I'd imagine). Got the basics right, but lacked flare. I don't know what we resemble now, bar a shambles.
Powell comes with a cV of improving players. To me, EVERY ONE of our regular starters has regressed. Something's got to give, before our next game. Either a few players dropped, or Powell and Sheridan (yes, he's as culpable) need to go.
The club is in a rotten state. We need action, either one way or another. We cannot merely carry on, "hoping for the best"'"
Any new manager walking into this situation, I believe, would be encountering similar problems when the players know half of them are going to be going and that they can't finish early and have it their own way.
This result and others, where our players can't be bothered to defend, tells you all you need to know about their attitude ie. me me me. Because they can't have things their own way, they're prepared to throw our new coach under the bus and worse still, embarrass and shame the fans and club who support them and pay their wages.
Even if we finish bottom, I'm right behind Powell because I have faith that he is seeing the bigger picture: Unless we have a reboot and culture change of this magnitude, then we're going to continue to underachieve.
