| It's time Ratchford and Currie were dropped. Great servants in the past, but this season have been completely ineffective. Time and injuries have proved to be a great leveller.

| Agree, another bad Friday night Currie. His half d defense and his unwillingness to take in some hard drives to help the team out really annoys me. He'll be on a good wage as well and one of the first players I'd rid the club of along with Hughes.
Surprised and disappointed with Holmes. I think he would have preferred Watson as coach to bring back the old Baker Street partnership because he hasn't got a clue at the moment.

| Perhaps stop treating the game with Saints with so much importance. Can't be a coincidence that a good performance against Saints is followed by falling apart. Happened ,twice this season.

Quite.
If there's one thing I HATE in sport, is having "smoke blown up the ar53" of a side that's got beat. We lost v Saints, yet all I heard from the Sky morons, was how great we were that night. We got beat. Winning is all that matters to a side. They got the competition 2 points, we got faint praise. Too many of our players have "dined out" on that. Too many fans have, also. Great effort in a game should be "a given".
Plucky loser........ You're having a laugh.

| Quote Gazwire="Gazwire"Totally agree. I'm 100% behind Powell and if he bins the lot, I'm behind him. If you compare the track record of our players versus the track record of our manager Powell, there is one clear winner, and its not the players. A bunch of half d, over paid let downs who've been, in most part, a huge disappointment over a number years.'"
What has he ever won as a coach?

He has got Castleford to as many Grand Finals as Price did on half the money. He also won a league leaders shield in 2017 which Price failed to do.
Three consecutive league leaders shields in the championship. 2010, 2011, 2012.
Powell is not a bad coach. Our problems are deeper.

Nothing.
And I’d say the track record of some of our players, some with ten years service to the club under their belts, international honours, cup winners medals and good stints in the NRL shouldn’t be so easily dismissed as there being a ‘clear winner’ when comparing the playing group to the coach.

If we had a CEO with anything about him he would convene a meeting of all the playing staff on Monday morning.
He would say he and the board back the coaching staff completely and that if any player does not want to play for him, or give less than 100% they can make their way up to his office after the meeting and sign a compromise agreement to leave the club with immediate effect. I'd rather play our reserves and lose with effort than kowtow to these show ponies.
Also those players who have brought shame in the national papers should be fined and dropped for the next game.
It's one thing us being garbage, it's another having our name dragged through the mud by player indiscipline.

We also got rid of Price as that wasn’t acceptable. So, winning a cup and reaching a grand final on top of qualifying for play offs at every opportunity wasn’t good enough.
While he might not be a bad coach, he certainly isn’t a consistent one. His teams have been in and out of the play offs over a sustained period. We tried to get a coach to take us from nearly men to champions

Paul Anderson won the league leaders shield. Is he a suitable candidate for the job?
