| Quote Or thane="Or thane"Oh get a grip with the Powell out calls, absolute cop out. It's the players not performing......end of. Williams need to be dropped he dire.'"
Not really playing to Williams strengths though, are we? That’s tactical. That’s on Powell.
Powell’s the one picking the team. Powell’s the one leaving out several players who should be playing.
A bit of a cop out to absolve Powell of any responsibility whatsoever in all this shambles really, regardless of whether anyone wants him to stay or go.

| We were consistently a top 4 team but Powell has destroyed that in half a season and that interview for me was of a dejected man who made himself a laughing stock by saying the team are in a good place. For gods sake at least tell it how it is then I might stick with you but am slowly losing faith.

| This Wire team's players has been rotten to the core for years under Smith (at the end), Price and now Powell. I feel sorry for Powell big-time. One thing I will say is that Powell has a record over many years of improving players and improving every team he's managed. Compare that to the record of our players over the past 6/7/8 years who in the most part have shown complacency, lack of desire and most of all lack of pride in the shirt.
Cooper has been immense for us, but if its true that he's clashing with Powell and not taking on instructions, then Powell has no choice but to get rid. If Cooper and the rest of the side can't accept that things need to change, because evidence clearly indicates things haven't been working for years, then bin the arrogant lot off. Is it any wonder long standing players don't want to change when they can earn plenty of wedge putting a half d shift in.
While Cooper puts the effort in on the pitch, he's got absolutely no right to try and start influencing outcomes against the head coach, especially when it's obvious to all that things haven't been working for years. I'm right being Powell because he's trying to do what should have been done over many, many years in trying to change the mentality and culture at the club. Give up on him now and the doors are open to players dictating years of complacency and underachievement when the next coach comes in, and those that follow.
On a side note, it's a shame Currie's contract isn't up this year. I'm sick and tired of his half d defensive attitude and lack of concentration. He offers virtually nothing and is symptomatic of the failings in this squad.

Agree with that although I'd like Powell to give more indication of that in his interviews rather than give the impression that he thinks things are good and not far off.

I think it's a tricky one for him and he has to keep a brave face. When things aren't going well for even the greatest managers in any sport, they try to show strength and positivity in adversity, though it can look daft when the fans know different like tonight. I think too that he doesn't want those disruptive players to win, so by remaining strong, it sends a message to them that he isn't giving up.

| I think we all saw that coming really. Another welcomed week off now, we need to put things right and pick up points off Hull and Salford one way or another.
Got away with it with Toulouse too, that could have been deadly.

Another week off for them to have some much earned rest and ruperation and time off. Remember what happened last time we had a two week break? I'd be flogging them for 10 days, they've got no bottle, no heart, no desire and no backbone.
