Decent half from Wire. Just let down by that rediculous try from the scrum (which came from Matautia's rediculous offload attempt) and switching off in the last few minutes of the half letting saints get 95 yards in the set.

Fearing an onslaught in 2nd half

Last 3 first halves have been encouraging or at least gutsy. Let's hope this 2nd half doesn't follow the Wigan and cats 2nd halves too as they were both abysmal and embarrassing.

I dont see us turning this around unfortunately, I think it's going to get bad from here.

A saints side playing poorly will still outscore this Wire team playing well. I've accepted that now, I'm on step 5 in the grieving process. It actually looks like tonight there's effort and early signs of a "Powell" team in terms of style.

So long as we don't capitulate, they are playing with the right effort.

Good points. Effort is there. But that "trundle and smashed" from Davis on last tackle 10 yards out shows we are still struggling for shape and plan in attack. Strange as I thought with williams, widdop and ratchford we would have that nailed.
