| I’m a Williams fan, he’s a good player but I was amazed when we were told Wigan had offered him our highest ever contract. Now maybe that was to appease our fans but it certainly sounds like he’s likely to be one of, it not the highest earner in Superleague.
As I say he’s a good player and in the right team he’ll always trouble defences but the lad seems to have done extremely well financially out of his career when you consider there are some glaring weaknesses to his game. A lad who has no real kicking game from deep and who isn’t a good organiser or a particularly good passer of a ball isn’t a player who should be getting that type of money. This isn’t a Warrington thing either, we paid him marquee money for a few seasons before he went to Oz. You could say we had some value for money for that but the lad must have a fantastic agent. When all the rumours were swirling last season about him choosing between us and you guys, I got to the point where I kept hearing the numbers were getting out of hand and I was happy we walked away.
As and when Powell gets Wire sorted out (and I think he will) I’m sure Williams will play his part, he’s too good not to but there’s no doubt in my mind that he’s being paid over the odds. Fair play if you can get it I suppose.

| Too much smiles from Widdop at the whistle, and not just him.
I have to question their pride in the shirt when they aren’t pist off getting beat….
Never thought I’d find myself wishing we would have signed Shaun Wane as coach.

Pride in the shirt, perhaps you should of been with the travelling wire fans who never stopped singing, maybe only a few hundred of them, but they knew how they had stood up to the rampaging Hull pack who threw everything at Wire, Mulhearn outstanding, we may be nowhere near the best two teams in the competition, but for pride, and absolutely giving everything they just fell short, superb effort from both teams.

I don’t question their performance on the pitch, I questioned the jovially end to it.

| I've just got back off holiday and have watched the game v Leeds today and WTF is going on with our club as this was a complete shambles of a performance?
We are always one of the biggest spenders on the cap but we never seem to deliver when the silverware is handed out in the Grand Finals, We now can't even beat struggling sides that are in transition?
Does anyone know if George Williams have a non RL playing twin brother?
Because imo that is what it looks like what we've signed as George has been very poor for us and he's on a kings ransom salary too
Powell has identified the culprits that he wants rid of during the so called squad re-build, but I think that he has clearly missed one name off?
