My point being that maybe that was a true reflection of our standard, based on current season performances.

I know, I am not sure what our standard is. The spend on squad would indicate we should be one of the best teams in the competition, but then a cursory review of a game makes you believe we are one of the worst.

In Powell's defence, Price had years to create those embarrassments of 2019, 2020 and 2021 semi final exit. Powell has had 6 games.

Is it possible that this season we starting to see the sort of results that a Salary capped sport is meant to produce?
I suspect that there were a lot of changes in teams and coaches that were bound to result in unpredictable results and halfway point of the season should show a truer reflection, but “interesting times” for sure.

Super league is closer than ever and i'm loving it, the leeds v Salford game for instance was briliant to watch. A real back and forth fast pace hard hitting game. Apart from our games i'm really enjoying all the matches so far this year.
Powell potentially will have a lot of money to use next year. Widdop should be going home, along with J Clark. If the rumours are true aswell, Hughes and Charnley will be leaving. Those 4 alone will free up much needed cash.
If Widdop does go do you think Riley Dean could step up? or do you think Powell will throw money at Trueman?

See now thats an interesting point there, cos Trueman isn't the hot property he was 18 months/2 years ago, he's had back issues for most of the covid period, he shouldn't comman fat stacks, but if we don't sign him, and sign a prop no doubt the same old same old will be here 2 years down the line saying we should have splurged on Trueman.

Give Riley Dean a go and sign prop and 2nd row forwards with some grunt
