| Let's see how Parramatta do against Newcastle having rested players last week. Of course, for all I know Newcastle might have rested players so it might not be relevant.
I don't think it's necessarily momentum, more building intensity. The whole team building its intensity as one unit, that sort of thing.
But if someone is knackered or gets injured, then that goes to pot.
Still, someone could be protected and then get knocked out or their ACL goes in the first minute of the first play off game.
A lot of luck involved.

| I’d be surprised to see Ratchford too. Maybe King, Currie and Hill too in an ideal world would get a rest.
That would give Ashton, Wrench, Longstaff and Doro game time. I would assume Davis would come in as some form of back up dummy half too.
Logic in keeping Widdop and Williams together for another game. Cooper has just come off a break, but should play reduced time where possible.
Mamo is a strange one. While King has looked ‘leggy’ over the past few weeks, Mamo just seems to have all the energy in the world. While he’s still in the running for top try scorer, I’d say keep him out there.

| Saints just need one more win to guarantee second spot giving them a free pass to the semi-final plus home advantage. They’re at home to Leeds this Friday, away to Salford last day of the season. They won’t slip up. This means that our results are meaningless, it’s all about performance, rotation and making sure that the fringe players, upon whom you may need to call, have some game time.
D Clark is ruled out, Walker looks doubtful. I expect that he’ll start with Davis and, maybe, we’ll see Austin playing a Dummy Half at some point? Ashton needs game time, either at Full Back or on the Wing. Philbin picked up an injury last time out so there’s one Prop rested for starters.

| On what basis is it considered Austin could play dummy half let alone defend in the middle.
Jason Clark would seem the obvious option given he's covered dummy half as an interchange whilst at Souths. I could see Davis / Ratchford spelling with him but not Austin.

| Austin may be required in the halves, WG reporting Williams is on stand by for the birth of his child.

| Matt Davis is the only sensible option for 9, surely.
