No its you being either completely uniformed or having a really high opinion of Castleford (the only game they've not played this year up to now). They've played 18 games to your 16 and this is the first game they've called off, hardly limping over the line is it. I agree it needs looking at as to why it was called off so late and did they meet the protocols but making up stuff to make a point is pretty weak.

| Quote Or thane="Or thane"I thought (like somebody mentioned) The ruling to postpone a game was to have 7 players confirmed to have Covid?
If this is the case then i assume we would be able to mount a case for a 24-0 win, seeing as it is just 4 Essential staff.
I hope we do ask for this or the rules would basically be nullified if it is just a straight postponement.'"
Don’t know exactly what the rules are for essential staff but if it happens to be the team doctor and physio it’s becomes a health and safety issue which I presume would override any rules for Covid.
To be fair in the cold light of day after match being called off at short notice, Catalans have played 18 games and this is their first time to call off.

I think we only beat them by 26 points because of Thaler, the RFL and Trent Waterhouse feigning injury everytime Howarth came hurtling towards our line.

| Since "project restart" happened in the Premier League in June 2020, there have been FIVE HUNDRED games played, yet I can only recall a handful (certainly no more than 10) of games being postponed. That's a miniscule percentage.
Compare this to the amount of SL games played, and the amount cancelled ( I don't have the figures, but I'd wager the percentage of SL games cancelled is SUBSTANTIALLY more than PL football).
Why is this?
Both operate around a similar training squad amount, and PL sides operate with a huge day-to-day support/ key staff, compared to SL.
Are RL players more susceptible to Covid than their footballing counterparts, or are SL's parameters for game cancellation so wide, you can drive a bus through them?
Either way, the more this happens, the dafter the sport looks.

Yep, thoroughly enjoyed the Wire performance, especially Moz's last ditch try.......
.....BUT......
....it also reminded what complete ends of bells that Eddie and Stevo were! We complain about the current commentating team but these guys were so much worse. Compared to Aussie commentators they are barely amateurs.......the Korupt FM of the commentating world!

I must be in the minority, but I do miss Eddie and Stevo.
Whenever I have my insomnia episodes of a weekend, I'll put the NRL on, and I DESPISE their commentators. All they do is SHOUT. Someone knocks on in the middle of the pitch after 30 minutes, when the game is 0-0, and you'd swear that Jesus Christ, Einstein and Henry VIII had just walked in the room. Dreadful (imo)

| Eddie and stevo were great in their day and did a lot to make the game popular and good to watch. I agree they had gone on a bit long and needed replacing, but there's no point replacing people with inferior ones. The current commentary 'team' on sky are an absolute joke,...............................but then again so is the product on the pitch mostly!

Agree with your sentiments Lefty.
The main problem with the current Super League season is that there is now a disincentive to play fixtures with the % rule that has been introduced, rather than the traditional points system.
It is too easy to dodge a game that a team doesn`t fancy and the season has become a total farce.
