Quote MorePlaymakersNeeded="MorePlaymakersNeeded"The longer the wait for the unveiling of who Williams has signed for, and when this contract is starting, the more I'm reminded of the David Myers saga. Apologies to the younger posters who may be disappointed that we hadn't signed a hairy biker in the past. Myers signed for us from Widnes, but claimed he had signed for Wigan. An RFL tribunal ruled in our favour, however, he didn't want to be at Warrington and after a handful of games for us he was transferred to Wigan.
It's also very odd that a player who claims to be home sick, appears to be in no rush to get back to the UK.
If, and it's a big if, we have signed Williams, we may not necessarily have a player who is 100% committed to the Wire.
Only time will tell, but I've a feeling there's much more to this under the surface.'"
The bonded part. To be fair to george williams in this situation. He did wish to leave at the end of the season. And it was his team who released him straight away. He was committed to the cause until the end of the season in australia. So being in Australia at this moment may not be much of a bad thing.
The question comes on if he wishes to play in the world cup. Which wane would certainly want some game time from Williams if he wishes to play. Whether he can secure that deal in Australia until the end of the season. or if he comes home this year to play at home. Whether it be at warrington for the next 3 and a half years or if he goes to a loan club until the end of the year.
