| People blaming Hill but bizarre terrace favourite Akuola gave two soft penalties away back to back during his ten minute stint that changed the momentum of the game in the second half.
Utterly useless.
And as above, taking our best attacking threat constantly out of his best position makes zero sense.
Thankfully Price and his useless ‘assistants’ are all gone at the end of the season. Stealing a living with their record.

| Said it before, why are we just too laid back cocky, “under the radar” as Philbin says, come out like doing a fecking John Wayne walk!
Another game we cannot score first and are chasing from minute 2.
Embarrassed

| Akouala is a poor version of Danny Lima. And Lima was a poor version of a prop!
He touched the ball 4 times in his first stint. Could play Lineham at prop and get a better return than that. And the penalty he gave away turned the momentum of the come back.
Don’t get me wrong, he’s not to blame. I’m pretty sure if he was asked to play more minutes then he would (See BMM, who played big minutes again last weekend)
The coach is clueless. Doesn’t know what his best team is, doesn’t know what he wants his best team to play like. The guy is in his 4th year, Michael McGuire changed the way Wigan played in 2, and they still play the EXACT same way now 10 years and 2 coaches on. In Smith’s 4th year, we had identity, a style. Price he’s talked about fixing the defence, then he’ll start on the attack. Well it’s not fixed, and it’s not looking close!
Utter tripe, and realistically another year is at risk of being wasted. Big three weeks coming up, if Cas do us again, we have to turn up at Salford or we’ll go into the Semi in a really poor state.

I've no idea whether Watson is a better coach than Powell, time will tell but BOTH are better than Price IMO.
I'm not going to trawl back through the pages but my comment was aimed at the folly of starting a thread so early in Watson's tenure at a new club, with a squad that has been reassembled and will have had their play books ripped up.
Oh and he does have a record of turning us over and if push came to shove given the option I'd have taken Watson

| Watson team talk against us is likely to be as simple as this: prices team like to settle in to the arm wrestle and then grind points out of you but if you hit them hard quickly and put some points on them they will fall to pieces for a while and it's likely you will get some more points when you move the ball about as they start to panic about an unassailable lead.
That's all it takes to out coach our lot.

| You know winning the CC in 2019 might have been the worst thing to happen to us. 3 years wasted ever since. Had we not won it we’d be sat here enjoying some great attacking rugby and we may have even won a Grand Final or two.

In principle I agree. But it depends who got appointed to replace him.
Let’s not kid ourselves that Powell is a beacon of hope and success, he’s hardly a man of notoriety. One hub cap and a day out on the big stage doesn’t make you Craig Bellamy.
It could (could, not will) get worse before it gets better.

Whoever we'd have got would have been an improvement IMO. I mean if the coach had a couple of dummy runners and back rowers running through gaps it would have already been an improvement on watching a Steve Price team attack.

| Having 'worked' with all 3 coaches in the not too distance past i can't tell you who is the best but i certainly can tell you which one has the highest work ethic, determination, attention to detail and man management and that isn't your current or future coach. Ian Watson is head and shoulders above any other coach in Super League in those regards, your current man is way down the list for those.
As for last night i think you were the victims of the 'crowds back' where the pressure on you being the 1st home fans in front of a live tv audience could have possibly affected your players into being a bit more nervous and trying too hard to get a win, i also think your coaching staff took Hudds too lightly with the positional changes which seemed to be a choice thing, apart from Hughes missing, rather than enforced, maybe he thought they were easybeats and he could try new things against them?
To be fair Huddersfield were very good and we are all now seeing just how good a coach Ian is now his charges have got used to his ideas etc.
You lot will be fine you have some good players in there, you also have a fully fit and match fit Greg Inglis to come yet.
you were beaten by probably a better side who will beat better ones than you.
Hope you enjoyed being back too.

| The disappointing thing is we have a better team than that. Breaking the 2 basic rules of rugby yesterday was a blatant disregard of our intelligence and patience. Waiting all this time to be dished up a foolish coaching error/s after the warning of such stupidity was all on show vs Hull KR. Price did the same utter dumb mistake again, and probably worse.
It is completely inexcusable to do this after all the fans have done with gifts and time to the club. It’s sackable imo.
Price has the nal that eclipse all other clubs in SL and he seems stubbornly dumb-fast on what to do with them.
