| What are the thoughts on squad for Swinton game ? Hopefully will give fringe players a much needed start but knowing price I think he will go with a strong / nearly full strength squad

| I'd go strongish against Swinton. Need to make sure the momentum is kept and as we only had one pre-season game, we could do with another game in there. Give Ashton the left wing spot maybe, give Hill or Cooper the day off. Give one or two of the young forwards a bench spot.

| Good response after the Cas performance. Much quicker and sharper in both attack and defence. Some tries I'd imagine made Morrisey think of reaching for the HBC. Hope Widdop continues to show what he can do, and the pack go on to dominate better teams.

| Quote Winslade's Offload="Winslade's Offload"I was a bit surprised Butler got a game but well done SP as it certainly beefed up the middle and didn't leave all the work for our stalwart props. He still gets null points for wasting a spot on a 10 min Ashton the previous game though. I thought Mamo did ok although he missed a tackle on ? Thornley that gave them their second try. To be fair I hadn't expected Price to make even those two changes to the team.
The two players that I thought were disappointing were Walker and Austin. Walker should surely be making more breaks against a tiring Leigh side that was short of some of their better players. Perhaps Walker should be swapped with Davis for the Hull and Catalan games. Austin seems to have continued his very mediocre form of last year whilst Widdop showed him what he ought to be doing in sparking attacks.
I was trying to decide whether to be encouraged or not by the team display. It was certainly a lot better than against Cas. with more fluid passing, a better pack and some clever work between Currie, Widdop and Ratchford to open up the defence. But we will not get the time / space against Saints or Wigan, and their defence will be a lot tighter. We are still not seeing enough running off the ball from the forwards, we are still passing flat footed in the middle, and we still look pretty stagnant attacking their try line in the last 20m.
I think my cup is still half empty.'"
Fair post. One moment in Austin's favour, was him taking it to the line and passing which made the space for Charnley and Mamo to finish the move. I'd like him to do more of that, rather a telegraphed dummy to try and break the line, which defences are now only too aware of.

| Would imagine a lot of changes for Swinton game, not impossible that Inglis may get a run out.

Heywood Road is a mud bath at the best of times. Wouldn't be great for GI's hamstring problem sliding around on there.

Many criticisms can be levelled at Price but not sure about this given the Salford league match.

Excellent diagonal run from hughes which pulled in the defender.
No coincidence we had the back rowers actually running on angles and it cause problems in the opposition defence

| One of my pleasures in life is ... watching the game a second time. You see so much more. It is more relaxing than watching it live.
I record every game. Mind you I've not been able to re-watch the Cas game. I have started dissecting the Leigh game ... much more fun.

Good god. Really? You mean voluntarily or are you a long term inmate in a psyche ward and it's cheaper than sedatives?

| I’ll reserve judgement on this one. I’ll be surprised if Leigh win more than three games this season with that Championship standard squad.
Hull and Cats next up in the league. Two mongrel packs against our pussycat pack. Let’s see how we go.
