Yes, that would be my guess as well. I don't think the club will flash the cash. And with Matty at FB it means Thewliss is only one player away from getting a game. If Ratchford stays at FB they might as well release Thewliss and get a fee for him. And that would be a serious waste of both the work and cost of the Academy.

All depends on how good Dean & Thewlis are. I'm sure you will have seen more than me.

Perhaps the best way to use the younger players would be to rotate them into matches.to get them experience instead of shipping them on. If the RFL had any sense that would be on their agenda probably by upping the size of benches & increasing the number of available substitutions. The future of the game will come from within & not from Downunder.

Don't we have a halfback on our books who's tipped to be the next big thing? Dec somebody or other?

Very happy we've finally signed him just a shame we never have more than one good prop signing every 5 years or so.
Means we never have a full compliment of props to keeps us plowing forward and worrying opposition.
Yeah unless we could get Sezer which is a complete pipe dream, i think Playing Ratchford in the halves and Ashton at fullback is a very good option.
I think Ratchford is better at fullback but he doesn't let us down wherever he plays and if we could get another quality prop i think that would make all the difference.
With Luis Johnson being on the outer i hope that means we have plans for another prop.
There is no way Latu will be picked up by another team and Price really doesn't like him and apart from his first game he's not impressive at all. And Sita doesn't have the engine but i think is a good prop to have as back up.

Happy with this signing, another big body much needed in the prop department. I’d expect him to be pushing for a bench spot in his first full season & when Cooper/Hill aren’t fit I’m sure he’ll get his opportunity.

If we do decide to unload Latu or Sita, we really should be looking at bringing in another prop, especially since L.Johnson is pretty much nailed on for HKR now. Patton, Livett, BBM going and Widdop going back to Aus... you’d hope we can learn from previous mistakes and make another shrewd signing or two. Time will tell...

Another young lad who won’t be given a proper chance and will probably be at Hull KR or Widnes in a couple of seasons.
