Quote: Dave K. "That's not true, under the old format we still would have had a slight chance of making 4th, partciculary if Catalans failed to play two more games.
I don't think we will beat you, we rae playing pretty well at the moment, bt have only beaten teams below us, i jsut hope we give it a go against you or Wigan.'"

This is from 24th September and Catalans being kicked out for not fulfilling enough fixtures would be the only thing giving Hull a slight chance. I've got nothing against Hull at all but you have been out of the running for a while, to be fair to hull you've only lost once since this match but that was to Leeds who would be considered playoff rivals, the wins have been impressive though.

I said we only had a slight chance, but it was a chance, the only game we lost was against Leeds, the game we played at less than 24 hours notice.

I really don't think any of that matters, simply because the teams that were always going to be in the play-offs are still in the play-offs. Bizarre though the season has been, it hasn't really affected who has qualified for the top six. There will still be play-offs and a final, like any other year. I really don't see how winning a grand final this year is any less of an achievement - unless of course one team in the final is scuppered by Covid absentees.

| Speaking as a Wigan fan, if Warrington win the GF this year they will get full credit and no griping from me. Every team is doing their best to make the best of a terrible situation, and to keep the game from going bust due to losing the Sky money. I still think Saints are favourite, I still want Wigan to win but whoever does win will have done so as fairly as can be managed and will deserve due credit for the achievement.

| When this season is done and dusted would I be correct in thinking the new season would start in February.. If so and we are still cursed with corona virus the new season could be interrupted like this one is.

| I'm not sure how we could go into the next season without scrums though, what with the RLWC at the end of next year (noting NRL continued with scrums).
