The best of it was that a massive gap opened up in the Salford line when he had the ball in his hands which 9 times out of 10 he'd have been through and scored. The miracle pass wasn't needed.

Before the game ... I said to the missus ... "I have looked at the Salford team and really they haven't got anyone apart from INU that we would prefer to have in our side". I still think that despite of the result. We have a decent team who are actually a bit more exciting at the moment ... and that's why I am so disappointed to lose. BTW Salford made loads of mistakes as well (including at Full Back) ... but we do tend to forget them.

Salford didn't play well. They simply hung in there, while we were neither good or intelligent enough to kill them off.

Difference was, when they were near our line they always looked likely to score. When we got near their line we never looked as potent.

Out of curiosity, what were the territory stats, because it felt like for most of the game we had the upper hand, but were just ineffective at capitalising?
