Quote: Fantastic Mr Catpiss "It all comes back to the props, straight down the middle, we're not making enough impact to cause defences to be pulled in or out of shape, to make space or gaps for the halfs to put the 3/4s away.
Interesting to see you say about the best pair of wingers, a couple of posters elsewhere have pointed out we've got the worst 3/4 line since the ill fated 2002 season, which is knee jerk hyperbolic nonsense at best. (some ppl have already made their mind up on toby king and got it in for him)
with the exception of brand, it's not bad, its just not being used properly.
Bigger picture.'"
I think the 3/4 was looking really promising, I really rate King and he was MOM on Friday too, gelling and I also rate, shame what's going on there but justice must be done IMO. I think King gets the same flack that Simon grix got early in in his career, they'll see it one day.
You're right about not stretching teams, we lack a few bigger bodies, with hill and Cooper both getting on a bit it's really important to get the right forwards. Millington or Watts from cas would be great, proven superleague props like carvell was. Its not all about size though it's alse the attacking shapes and 1 up rugby, scoots and drives. We need to give the opposition defences a lot more to think about and that's not just size. We have players underused all over the pitch.
