Honestly seems some common sense is actually happening.
I don't know what he is accused of doing and have not looked to find out because well I don't need to know, but if the club have investigated and are allowing him to come back then it cannot be serious enough to warrant keeping him suspended or sacking him.
If they are now waiting for the Police to conclude there investigation, then there is nothing really I suspect the club can do other than allow him back.
People can think what they want about it, whether it's a good or bad thing but only the club can make the choice as to whether he is allowed to play or not until the Police conclude the investigation at which time he will either be charged or not charged.

Best thing posted on here for years.
As it happens, though I do believe in innocent until proven guilty, I think he should be unavailable for selection until the Police have concluded their investigation. Doesn't sit right with me at all this.

Brand shouldn't play v Hull regardless - their threequarter line is huge and he would be targetted. If we don't go with Gelling then switch Currie for this one.
Correct decision by the club. I suspect Gelling has changed status from “bail” to “released under investigation. There is no time limit attached to the latter and there are cases where it has been 18 months+. Innocent until proved otherwise by a jury/magistrates, let him play if his head is in the right place (or as right as it has ever been).
I don't think it would have been right to leave Gelling in Rugby League limbo for what may be a lengthy legal process. The club has a duty of care to him while he is an employee.
Innocent until proven guilty but I think Warrington were right to suspend him (paid) initially until it knew more information. The club will act accordingly if any alleged crime is proven.
I think the club has dealt with a very tricky situation very well thus far.
