| I believe he was beaten in a bare knuckle scrap in a field at Appleby...Mind you, he'd done a few lines of the Colombian marching powder, 20 pints of Stella and weighed 32 stone.

| Quote: Charlie Sheen "Wrong sugar Ray, but you're right. Although, I never liked Leonard much for how he disrespected Hagler.'"
Doh. Yes Leonard.
I didn’t like him ether...but I respected how clever he was...he played boxing as scoring points whereas Hagler fought old school.

32137_1302980312.jpg Fat blokes in the mud, flat caps, bogs that drain pi55 directly onto your boots - Now it's all 'Big Ask', 'Arm Wrestle', 'Collision' 'Contact' 'Facials' 'Upper Body Strength' 'Big Units' 'Scooting from Dummy Half' 'Energy Levels' 'Laying the Platform' ‘Middles’ and 'T-R-Y'. Let’s not forget resilience.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_32137.jpg |

| Quote: rubber duckie "The 80s was the era of the light/middle - middleweight- ll - welterweight for me.
I loved Hagler and Robinson..,
We had hopefulls like Conteah and Dave Boy.'"
Add in Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran and we had Minter, Sibson and later Benn, Eubank. Great days in the welter-middleweight categories. Loads of fights and loads of rivalry.

| That period had to be the most prolific. It took middleweight purse to heavyweight proportions.

| You also had greats like James Tony, Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins, Mike McCullam and Julian Jackson emerging towards the end of the decade in the middleweight division. Outstanding
