The new club website is now up and running icon_smile.gif

Hopefully the honours section is now up to everyone’s liking, as, err, I did this!! Feedback welcome though!

The club have also decided to outsource the heritage bits to me too, which I think is the right decision - I say that with no intent of grandiosity. What I mean is that by their own admission, keeping this up-to-date and relevant isn’t likely to be a priority, and IMHO neither should it be-much better to focus on ticket and kit sales, etc. Much better to have someone who cares passionately about this, and doesn’t have to worry about other priorities doing it. I’ll continue to do my best to keep things moving, with the added incentive that this is now somewhat more ‘official’ than when I first started.

You can read my (very) abridged history on the ‘Heritage’ page on the club site, and there is also a link to my site from this. If you CNBA going to it that way, my site is here: www.warringtonrugbyheritage.com

Enjoy

It's now a much more interesting website to visit and actually spend time on. Far easier to navigate too.

Nice to see that a local company was used in Urban Zoo, and that they're allowing you to run the heritage side of things NtW. Important to have sections on heritage, honours, timeline, and results archive as well as current content. Stadium History section has also improved, and has photos of the build, would like to see the history go beyond 2004 and the first match though.

The whole website makes excellent use of photos that catch the eye, and videos. I'm sure it will improve further as time goes on.

Looking forward to seeing the improved online shop and tickets.

Very much appreciate your efforts NtW and so glad the club has enlisted your passion and expertise. The player list has helped me to calculate when I began watching Warrington which is 1957 when I was 8 because I can remember Peter O’Toole at prop being replaced by Josh Gaskell from St Helens. Other players of that era were Eric Fraser, Jim Challinor, Nat Silcock and Bevan but they all began their careers before 1957.

Thanks all for the kind words. I’m hoping to add a new section to the site to post up various articles that I’ve been doing recently (you might have seen the odd one in the WG), which will give me a bit of freedom to do various ad hoc pieces based on research I’ve done.
