Quote: Barbedwire "My understanding is that we are supposedly committed this season to playing a more expansive and innovative game.
Shouldn’t that start with how we kick-off?
Unless we are behind with minutes to go you can put your house on Ratch kicking to exactly the same spot, and more importantly so can the opposition.
Why not keep them guessing by occasionally kicking to the other side, short and high, grubbers a la Briers? We won’t always win possession but we could complete for it, and guess what, it would be more interesting and entertaining!'"
This has been creeping back into Super League in the last couple of years. London almost exclusively did Union kick offs against Saints and beat us twice. Someone else did, possibly Toronto or someone in the cup, I can't really remember.
