Quote: Winslade's Offload "Well, that's 'unfortunate'.
If they wish to query the decisions and officiating they are well within their rights to do so. But they should have kept this between themselves and the RFL. As it now stands it simply makes the club look like poor losers. Are they looking to shift the blame and embarrassment away from the club and coach ?

Which is what they have done - see the quote in the articleA club spokesman said
The article is just the journalists speculating: "however, it is understood that....", which seeing as clubs are allowed to ask the RFL about officials' decisions in every Super League game too seems like a bit of a non-story. It's obvious they were going to ask that question behind closed doors. If they wanted to make a big thing of it, then when the St Helens Star came contacting them they should have blasted the officials in the press.
There's a long thread on this forum at the moment about Wire fans saying the officiating isn't good enough so we shouldn't be surprised if Saints felt the same. They got on the wrong end of being ripped off on Saturday and they won't be happy, just like we wouldn't if it had gone against us. But they aren't trying to use this as an excuse....the St Helens Star is just trying to stir things up.
