First things first, 1 Wembley, then second, this weekend results means one more SL victory and barring some freak scorelines (Cas still have to play Saints, Wigan & Hull) we finish in the playoffs. Then its down to knockout rugby and anything can happen.

The standard of SL has been on a slippery slope for several years, although the salary cap does seem to be working as we seem to have a more level playing field amongst the results dished up each week.

May be but its the same old teams that win the end of season comp...saints Wigan Leeds...and will be for years to come

The fact we are relying on Salford to do us 'favours' is pathetic and quite frankly embarrassing...were a shambles at present im afraid.

If we end out of the 5 that surely will cause the board to act and to eject Price early. Better than watching us be poor next year and slow death.

I think appointing Holbrook with a few games left of 2017 really let saints hit the ground running for 2018 and they have been great since.

They very nearly made the GF in 2017 a few months into his appointment. Did they lose by 1 point to Castleford I think in the semi.

I don't think appointing Price any earlier in 2017 would have made any difference to our current predicament.

We didn't need to appoint Price early, we got the "new coach bounce" under Tony Smith, when we won 7 out of 7 at the business end of the season.

If that had happened under a new coach, the legend would have grown that they "saved us from relegation" and that would have been counted as credit in the bank for them.

You're probably right, I think they just got the better coach. It's so dissapointing because last season I felt we were definitely heading in the right direction and getting to both finals was a great achievement. I know we have a chance of doing the same again but it just feels like we have gone backwards at an alarming rate this season. Our attack absolutely stinks.
