Take's me back to around about 1968 when we used to run up to the foot-bridge near Miller's Cottage to stand in the smoke off the steam loco's passing underneath! and oh! the strawberry milk machines dotted around the caravan site's.

That reminds me of swinging on the wire fence next to the railway track and hearing the engines vibration coming along the fence and track long before the train.... Morrowell site in Pensarn near Abergele.

I recall one of them near the shop just before the driveway to Golden Sands holiday camp. Those cartons were a devil to get into!

I fondly remember "staying up late" and playing pontoon in the caravan to the accompaniment of hissing gas lights!

I used to feel all grown up helping my dad go to the stand pipe to fill up the water container - simpler times indeed
