| Quote Smiffy27="Smiffy27"I know. I reckon we all deal with it in different ways.
I try to pretend it's not important. But some just want to throw crap at the club they do really love.
Warrington is a great club who try very hard to be a lovely community club.'"
Is this a RL/ Northern thing ? low self-esteem,attack/ criticism rather then acknowledging positivity and success? ( I'm a Hull FC fan)

| I think you can question our approach to substitutions without being placed on suicide watch.
We have a big squad and we have seen our forwards overpowered in a number of recent games (not yesterday's). For simplicity's sake, you have two options: load your bench up with forwards, and share out the hard work, or throw in one or two wildcard players who could come on and win you a game with something a bit different. Tasi certainly isn't the latter, so if he is not going to do 30 minutes of grunt to keep the other guys a bit fresher, why is he there?

| I'll admit it. I too, am baffled as to the non appearance of Tasi, yesterday.
We were picking up knocks, at the end (Cooper and Goodwin). Other players had played big minutes, in intense circumstances. Surely he could have been used to lighten the load. It's not as if he's a fresh faced youngster, and can't be trusted He has close on 200 senior appearances.
To pick him, yet not use him , seems insane, or just plain daft. Almost like last week's heatwave. You've seen the weather forecast. There's ZERO chance of rain, yet you leave your house with a waterproof coat and umbrella. Yes. I'm baffled.

| Good performance and good win. Not perfect by any stretch but it was a good cup tie and very enjoyable.
Ratchford coming back made a huge difference. He’s a cracking player with ball in hand, under the high ball and a very good organiser/communicator of the defence (not the best last line defender though). Great to have him back.
Austin, while doing nothing too outstanding, ran the plays, organised the attack, and put in some good kicks. He was more of an off-the-cuff player at Canberra but he was structured and disciplined with the ball yesterday. Interesting to see he has that side to his game.
The props were dominant. Said pre-game we needed no drop-off after Cooper and Hill went off and Philbin put some hard minutes in, especially second half. Great try from Philbin at that end.
Plus Currie, Murdoch-Masila and Goodwin, really took it to Hull. They were dominant too. Great to see that from the two second rowers with them having difficult seasons so far.
Still a lot to improve on. I’d have liked to have seen some more pressure applied to the end of sets. We pinned them back relentlessly at times but then gave them a rest by kicking it out for a scrum. Maybe trying for a repeat set or chancing our arm for more points would have been better to see?
We also had a few errors that could have cost us... but thankfully didn’t.
All-in-all a really enjoyable game. Hull are a good side and a match for us in many respects (I think they have more creativity than we do) yet we didn’t let their strengths shine.
I forgot to record it so hopefully it’s on iPlayer, I’d like to watch it back.

| Quote WireWireWire="WireWireWire"Did we even concede a penalty in defence today? We got pinged for obstruction but otherwise I can't recall us being penalised all game....'"
On 56 minutes Hill gave a penalty away in front of the posts for a ball steal, Hull scored but it was disallowed for obstruction.

| Judging by the haters omission to even acknowledged Patton played yesterday...I think those more tolerant will receive that as something.

| When we beat you in the semi final at Huddersfield some of your fans made a point of coming across and congratulating us on the win. They also wished us well in the final, but that didn't happen. Well played yesterday, a deserved win and lets hope that this really is "your year!" All the best.

| The WG keep repeating that Hughes did a stint in the front row. I didn't pick up on it at the time but doesn't that make the whole Tasi issue even more confusing?
