I wasn't criticising. Other teams. I was criticising RL in general. That is why I didn't renew my membership this season as I got bored by the spectacle.

| I used to prescribe to the view that there were no bad games of rugby league (or at least very rare) but that's long gone now. Hard to find a thrilling game these days (including us)

| Rugby league is a great contradiction these days. Six tackles were introduce in the dim & distant past to encourage fast open play but over recent years many teams have resorted to 5 drives & a kick which has become our equivalent of RU bods banging it into touch. All this smother tackling isn't helping and the game has lost a lot of it's spectacle. Thank God for teams that can bring their backs into play & give us something to cheer.

Yep, very enjoyable watch. And now we have the Cowboys vs Rabbitohs to look forward to. Which will no doubt be a great game.

| Each post of this page (36) has it spot on.
Since the Invincibles of the 80's , our game has copied every facet of the Australian version, from sand castles and tees for dead ball kicking, to the "style" of NRL matches Where is the flare? Each side seems scared to take risks.
You rarely hear Saints being called "The Entertainers" anymore
Smith's flamboyant rugby of 2011 seems a million years ago.
Castleford are about as classy as an Austin Maestro, these days
Hull are just Hull.
Leeds. Whilst never rip-roaring to watch, they COULD turn the style on, every now and again.
I've not watched Wigan in ages. Whatever happened to those sweeping moves from left to right, that they scored umpteen tries from? They've become obsessed with that phrase, the Monkey Wane came out with, every week...."I was impressed with our D".
The game has become NRLlite. Stats driven, videos watched again and again, don't take risks. Then we're exposed to the coaches post game press conferences/interviews, where you play [ispot the cliché[/i.
RIP entertaining Rugby League

Indeed.
I even got up early to watch Sydney and Newcastle. Sydney were a different level in the last 25 minutes. It was 12-10 with 25 to play and ended 48-10!

| Thoroughly expecting Stains to win this, despite a SUPERB start from Halifax.
This reminds me of the Lancs Cup Final of 89 v Oldham, who were 2nd Division, at the time. Punching well above their weight

| Halifax have been great so far, saints have tried to force it too often, an unusual lack of composure from them. That dummy was really poor can't believe they bought that! Shame. Huge credit to fax for the first half hour.
