A great initiative and hopefully we can build on it season on season and look to increase that further. Hopefully the club can see the breakdown by school and work on those that didn't have a great uptake in 2019 for the next one in 2020.
Possibly worth looking at making it a Saturday / Sunday afternoon game next time?'"
Fantastic initiative and agree with you.
My dad took me to Wilderspool when I was 10 and we watched the games from the old wooden stand. I can remember being very bored at first and was more interested in the trains shunting up and down the line than watching the match. I think it probably took me 5-6 games or so before I really became interested, it was certainly after I recognised the players on the pitch and recalled their names. So my point is, they really do need to follow up this initiative with several more otherwise I think many of the kids will just forget about it. There is plenty of room in the West, I think it holds 3,200 so they could certainly mix in away supporters from most of our games. Might need to supply ear plugs to block out some of the chants though.
