| I remember from the 1960's we signed Bob Fleet from Swinton. He was an ex Gt Britain centre, although past his best was deemed to be a good signing.
The biggest cheer I can remember at Wilderspool was when he actually caught a pass. Never seen so many knock ons from 1 player.
Makes Andy Currier seem like a Wilderspool legend

| I nominate the one and only David Kidwell.
After leaving Wire and returning to the NRL, he was a major success, but over here he couldn`t be ar$ed.

was reading this thread and he was my first thought, beat me too it.
Kevin Campion, I know he never played but had a big rep, only likes to play in warm weather! apparently

| I'd put Leroy Rivett on the wing instead of Matty Russell.
Unfortunately Leroy could never match up to his CC Final tryscoring record.

| Maybe I had unrealistic expectations, butI thought Adam Fogerty might have done a decent job for us in the 2nd row. Can't recall us getting much game time out of him though.

| I thought about Kidwell, but his reputation wasn't that big when he got here, he hadn't played that much for Parramatta. It was after he left us that he went on to be good in the NRL.
Rivett - big name based on one game really but I guess we haven't got a winger so he may as well go there. I remember one of the papers (or maybe it was Ceefax) saying that Warrington had signed "Lance Todd".
Sullivan did have a fair bit of expectation, probably because we built him up as a big talent, rather than him doing anything significant in the NRL.

| Put Simms in there for me. Labelled as "enforcer" and "mongrel" prior to joining. Powder puff. I guess he did develop the standing on hand trick.

| To fill in the vacant No. 3 slot, can I humbly suggest Terry Day.
Scored bucket fulls of tries for Hull, came here, and was lazier than someone on Benefits Street.
