Looks like we will finally have a Ladies team competing.

Was a little disappointed after the great success of PDRL (and being at the forefront of that), that we were a bit slow on the uptake of a ladies team. Looks like behind the scenes they have been putting things in place, first hosting the challenge cup finals day, then putting their name forward to host the Ladies 2021 WC Final. Glad they are putting a pathway in place too, with an U12's, U14's and U16's teams starting up at Vicky Park.
They took a while to get things organised, but seem to have done a good job bringing it together. |

There was a team (endorsed and sporting the Clubs badge) and the ladies involved did very well, to the point of winning silverwear. https://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/sp ... lenge-cup/
But well done to the club for putting their resources behind this and providing the correct pathway. I'm sure everyone wishes them every success. |

I do remember them winning a cup... yet as I said there wasn't too many teams ivolved. I know they wore the team kit but I don't think the club was involved anymore than helping with the kit if they even did that.
Everyone were volunteers.
I knew if a girl who played prop in that winning team then.....no I didn't give her one

Spot on.
I believe the clubs stance on reserves remains the same. They are 100% behind a reserves competition, but they are insistent that it’s a fully organised competition SL wide. Which would involve all SL owners agreeing to the move.
Wigan are taking the same stance I believe and threatening to pull their reserves squad until it’s a proper comp. |
