This is good news for the game at least. With the current administration in charge of the RFL, I'm surprised they didn't try to move the final to Coventry or somewhere.

The showpiece occasions need to stay at big stadiums. This should also go for internationals, so no more playing at places like Leigh or Doncaster.

Id rather watch an international at a sold out Doncaster than watch them with half a stand full at Wembley.

We can't sell Elland Road out ffs, lets live within our means until we are consistently selling out places like anfield before we upgrade.

Getting back on topic though this is grea news for the challenge cup and adds a bit off excitement to the mid season slump. The new cup competition for the lower league clubs is brilliant news too and will hopefully also be televised.

To increase the final attendances a new cup competition has also been announced for Championship and League 1 clubs, final to be played at Wembley as a curtain raiser.
