Joking aside I am worried about Widnes. This is another heartland side, with decent facilities that is in decline.

Must admit ... I don't enjoy this sort of thread. I remember well how horrible playing in the Middle Eights was. I don't wish it on anyone.

Its going to be replaced by a 1 up 1 down..under that format its much better..

I very much doubt if our CEO will be having much of a laugh. Way, way back in darkest 2016 we entertained Widnes at the HJ and had an attendance of just over 15,000. I guess when you add in hospitality, beer sales etc etc we probably trousered £350,000. Meanwhile, Widnes with their very limited resources look financially vulnerable. It looks as though they are going down, and I don't see them coming back up sometime soon, if at all.

I would have much preferred if it was Saints or Wigan that had been beaten last night by London. Then we could all have had a good laugh.

I,m almost sure Warrington only managed to beat London Broncos by 1 point last season in the middle 8's, so there's not a lot of difference there.
