He could put M.brown at centre and T.king 2nd row.That would allow us to rotate weestwood/clake at loose when needed ???

I know that simplistically it's one slot down the line, but, I'm not convinced that either M Brown or T King are big enough for second row duties particularly against Wigan

Look about the same size as Livett or Farrell of Wigan ... might be wrong but I don't think size is an issue.

Fair enough Smiffy but I did say that I wasn't convinced rather than over my dead body. I think that Livett is the biggest out of our three and agree that size isn't the be all and all. Farrell and Bateman play up IMO and I'm not sure Brown and King do/can

Modern day second row/centre skills look so similar. The idea of Livett at ST was pooh pooh'd until he played there.

Indeed, which is Westwood went there and served us well, Bateman playing there for England ahead of a 'natural' centre and we have the regular Atkins debate on here, but, all of those are different 'animals' to Brown and King currently IMO

Fair point maybe this is not the time/game to try something new.just keep the combinations going and try to keep the game tight and take all points on offer.(ala Leeds with sinfield). I love broken crackers

You can go through the SL backs and there are tough cookies who could do a job in the pack...and some have and progressed as regular forwards....but you can see those with mongrel in them.
