Yes we were superior in every facet, largely because Wigan were just awful throughout... both in defence and in attack.

And no it wasn't an exceptional Wire performance.

If you were a Wigan fan you could have said the reverse of that 2 weeks ago. If one team is on song, the other team will inevitably look poor.

Oh come on. Even all the negs and moaners who love to give stick to our players ought to be pretty happy tonight. 23-0 v Wigan in the Cup. We really have collected some negative dib-dobs on this forum.

Correct, Wigan were poor however there is little credit being given to Warrington not surprisingly on their forum but on here it's disappointing. If we can't enjoy that today, give the team a well deserved bit of credit and take a bit of pride in an all round performance then we might as well pack in.

Roberts decent today in attack and defence

Really happy with today, especially after our 1st half performance which was the best under Price.
While Wigan didn't play well, credit must go to the players for this who constantly 'turned the screw' in that first half, meaning they were unable to gain a foothold and resorted to panic catch-up rugby in the second half.

A few points:
-forwards excellent.
-Robert's best game and he's starting to show some running potential.
-fluidity in attack still requires improvement but that's to be expected; we're better than I expected at this stage under Price.

Not discounting Leeds or Catalans, but I'd love see the draw present the potential for a Wire v saints final.

....I think I'd want Saints while we're on cloud 9. Saints at Wembley sounds daunting.
Wouldn't want Catalans at Bolton tbh.
Leeds looks the easy pick presently

Roberts controlled the game with a very good display...especially his kicking game.

Saints are by far the best team in the comp this season. I would like to get them in the semis to hopefully get them out of the way. I wouldn't like to have them at Wembley.

Out of the big three, in our recent finals we've played Leeds x3 and Wigan x2 but not met saints once; it would potentially be a great final. That said, Saints do look to be the stand out team and despite our good win today, I think they would be firm favourites if we were to hypothetically meet them next week.

I wouldn't say Saints would be'firm favourites'! Marginally perhaps.

It's a whole 2 months away anything could happen especially with injuries. Barba is the player making them the stand out team and if he was to be out for any reason then can't see why we couldn't win. Harder with him in the team but not impossible
