I normally like a good moan about players but i'm just not seeing the need to for Roberts yet. If you want him to take on the line he needs options and decoy runners to draw away the opposition. We haven't got that in the squad . I haven't seen Hughes, King, et al run a decent line. What you don't want your half back doing is taking drives up the middle because no-one is running the angles . For me it's too early to write him off, the squad still has a hang over from the last regime and it's going to take time for the new systems to bed in.

Thats funny. Patton gets slagged off rotten because he doesn't take the line on. He doesnt get dummy runners either so is he now excused?

But we know roberts CAN do it....he may never for us but he is capable unlike Patton. Barba and sandow were gash in their first 5\6 games until they sorted their fitness out but their ability was never in doubt and neither is Roberts. I must admit he's beginning to test my patience but I think we need to give him a little longer.
