I would say it’s only Warrington ‘BORN’ which means other team’s players can count but not the likes of Watkins who only played here as a youngster.
I left it a bit open ended...only if we struggled to find those who are a Wire and born a Warringtonian....my only fear is if we try and claim Jon Wilkin!
Brindle was a prop from the 60s/early 70s & he still struts his stuff round the fleshpots of Burtonwood.
I think Dick Gemmell who played for Leeds in the 60s/70s was from Warrington but don't know if he ever played for us.
I believe Catterall got a sine die ban for an incident in an amateur game.
