Quote FireWire="FireWire"Nothing like a bit of ambition.
Why play the third game at Elland Road? Just have it at Belle Vue or Wheldon Road instead.
Wigan is in the heartland of RL, and the town has contributed immeasurably to the sport as a whole, but internationals deserve big venues. Neutrals and the media would surely be more interested in a match played at one of the world's most iconic stadiums, rather than the DW.
They've announced it early enough, and have a whole year to sell tickets. The last RL match at Anfield got over 40,000 when England weren't even involved.'"
Agreed
Happy with Liverpool, ok with Leeds, disappointed with Hull. I think a test in London should have been a priority.
We've progressed since needing to hold tests in 25k stadiums, which is why i'm disappointed with the test @ Hull.
I don't care if there are 10k empty seats at Anfield, as that would probably still be 15k more fans attending than at Wigan.
I think regular tests in Liverpool, Leeds & London would mean we were covering the country quite well in terms of geographical spread of our big events
London x2 1 Test & Challenge Cup
Manchester x1 Grand Final
Liverpool x1 Test
Leeds x 1 Test
Newcastle x1 Magic
Bit of a hole in the midlands & South West but to be expected given the lack of any presence there.
