I will give this a look. I really enjoyed "The Forbidden Game" by Mike Rylance which is all about how RL was the main code before WW2 and how Union went to the Nazi puppet government in Vichy and got the game banned and all the grounds given over to the 'amateur' game. If it's half as good a read as that I'm sure I will enjoy it
