| It's the third game I've watched Dagger, he looked lightweight against Cas, he was anonymous on the wing last week, but today was his best game, his couple of breaks caught the eye but his performance was error strewn, he did drop 2 or 3 but they went backwards so got away with it, wayward passes & he got caught out with the Myler try in particular
He does look like a talent though & has all the raw materials, like Charlie eluded to he still has the element of surprise on his side & the one thing that stood out for me is he seems a brave lad in the tackle & going for the high balls
Jack Hughes this year has not been the same player obviously but today I thought he defended better & his error count was down but he offered very little in attack, he is normally a very solid 2nd rower but he is a poor option at centre

| I Love Savelio and was made up when we signed in. He does stand out in attack and puts in huge amounts of effort. The whole teams defence is poor so you can't really just say his defence is poor, not great but he's still playing better then most of the team.
I'd love him to stay but with so much interest I really can't see him staying. Savelio, Currie, Clark, Westerman great young players that can make a big difference. These are the types of players we should be keeping hold of long term, just my opinion but that's what I feel.

Jullien has play centre pretty much all his life. Hughes has played second row pretty much all his life.
so why are they being played out of position when they could straight swap?

| Difficult to know. Perhaps TS trusts Hughes to do a better job as he is a lot more experienced. Or perhaps he thinks Jullien is doing a better job in the BR than the out of form Hughes.
Either way, with Currie due to return quite soon and the centre spot only a temporary posting, I would imagine Hughes must be concerned about the possibility of dropping to the bench in the near future.

I quite like the Hughes of 'old', solid and dependable. The current version and it's been around longer than can be considered a blip wouldn't look out of place in the South Stand never mind the bench

| I assume it's a loss of confidence thing. With Atkins TS normally plays him through his bad patches but I wonder if that will be the case for Hughes ? Ironically he is also our one and only 'never missed a game' this year. I think he has certainly cut out most of the dreadful errors he was making early in the season, but what is left is a mere shadow of himself in 2016.
