I think it's a bit harsh for Brown to shoulder all the responsibility for our current plight. We have been crap both with him in and out of the side. If we working on attacking drills in training, having 2nd rowers running good lines, creating doubt in the defence, he would execute well in my opinion. I think the problem is that we apparently "play what we see" which usually means we get a random pass from Hill that bounces 5m behind the receiver and a grubber kick from Hughes*. If the ball does get to Ratchford we look a bit better mind.
