| Deserved what we got. Hull have been far the standout team this year and deserve the shield. Same story from us. Decent lead then hang on for 30 mins as we have no kicking game to manage the game and see it out. If you compare us to other top teams, our recruitment has been poor. May as well have been Chris Hill 28 Wigan 35. Had enough of Tony Smith I'm afraid now. Time for a change.

| Patton anonymous and partnered Russell in the edge of oompalumpas to get battered on!
Why not Russel at FB BECAUSE HE AIN'T A FECKIN WINGER!!!
Ratchford in the halves.
Penny on the wing.
I've had my fill of TS. I honestly don't give a shaat if he gets sacked. His smug face v both the league and CC defeats and again tonight. He smiles as he enjoys his stubborness.

| Always a good laugh coming on here after games like this to see the total over-reaction from some. We're top of the league with a game to play, and people are seriously calling for Smith's head! Bet you weren't saying that after 60 minutes! Two faced doesn't come close.
And love this 'chokers' tag: losing a game from a winnable position doesn't mean you choked.
All credit to Wigan-they went up a lot in my estimations tonight.
Looking like a cracking run in now: I reckon it's pretty much impossible to predict how things are gonna pan out. Whatever the disappoint of tonight, that's gotta be excited for any true RL fans hasn't it? And we're a key player in that drama. Still not enough for some folks. And to think we used to mock 'arrogant' fans of big clubs a few short years ago...

| Game turned when Currie went off and around that time we had Hill, Clark and (obviously) Currie off the field. Smith got the tactics spot on for me by directing our a paced attack down the middle to turn around their big forwards and we made loads of yards in most sets in that first half and outplayed them.
It was poor defence though for the Tompkins try before half time. We got momentum back after the break but we miss the 3 players mentioned-thought TS should have brought hill back earlier.
We've lost, had just a few naive moments, but played really well. Let's leave the scapegoating out. We've got a great chance still next week, and we're well in the running for the GF

| I don't see the game that way Gaz.
We didn't control the ball and Pies ripped us to pieces on the flanks.

No. I'll bet nobody was saying that after 60-minutes, having a comfortable lead and all... You may not have noticed, but most of the posts tonight are about the following 20 minutes when our top-of-the-table side conceded 21 points against 12-men. With the incentive of winning silverware. At home.
Taking issue with that and pointing out obvious frailties with our team isn't two-faced, it's realistic. I haven't seen anyone calling for Smith's head (yet), just people saying they think his time is up/they wouldn't mind a change.

Some of this is true - we miss Hill and Clarke, but you can't realistically say we have played well shipping in 21 points in 20 minutes against 12 men. ??

Ahhhhh, the good old "it'll be all right" attitude. That's why we've won sod all for over 4 years.
... We're all entitled to opinions, but, if you think we didn't bottle that........ oh dear.

| Quote nottinghamtiger="nottinghamtiger"Well you can send Clark back to us if he is an example of poor recruitment.
Actually, we'll take Westerman back too.
Chris Hill and Ashton Sims would be useful props too...and we'll have Jack Hughes too if he isn't good enough.'"
I was thinking of the likes of Lineham, Asotasi, Blythe etc.
