| Commiserations on the loss, it was a great game. At 10-0 down I thought thats it there is no chance that we are going to win this. Then when Gidley missed that penalty kick I turned to my dad and said that's the turning point. When Currie got through and was inches away from the line my stomach dropped. I would of been heartbreak. But it was our day.
Good luck for the result of the season.

| Commiserations, that must have been tough to take.
Having watched it back, it was a fantastic game of RL.
Kudos to the team and Tony Smith, they conducted themselves impeccably in defeat.
Also hope Gidley and Westwood are OK.

| Not only the team and Smithy scarrie, the wire fans who wished us well and shook my hand at the end was humbling.
Both our clubs have "dicks" but after yesterday i have nothing but praise for your fans.As scarrie has said, you also conducted yourselves impeccably in defeat.

| Gutted to have lost such a close game. But it was a great final to watch and both teams gave everything they had and more for the 80min hull just had a little more in the tank at the end if the game. We used up a lot of energy containing their pack early on and in the conditions payed the price late on, that wouldn't be the case at ot if we get there.
As mentioned the ref was great and put the full full time pros to shame
Hull defended immensely when it looked like they were tiring they managed to hang on, we didn't quite punish them enough during the time Ellis was off the pitch which would have not put us in such a precarious situation going into the latter stages of the game, but hindsight is 20/20 and it's just ifs n buts now nobody can fault the effort or commitment from the players n that's all that can be asked of!

His goal kicking lost you the game. But you did look lost without him on the field.

| Great day out yesterday regardless of the result. Train there and back was fantastic in comparison to coach trips I have done in the past.
Watched it back this morning. Why was Sandow up against there 6ft plus backs when they put in high kicks? For the first try he made a poor attempt to defend the kick, take a look at the look Atkins gives him, says it all.
.
For the second he should have anticipated the play better and dealt with the knock down ie smash Sneyd.
Appreciate it was a red hot day yesterday but we need get sandow a lot fitter than he currently is.
All day long Danny Houghton was mom. Joke he didn't get awarded it. Great all round player.

There were a few people who felt Toby King weakened the team, but his defensive work was excellent. Considering he only turned 20 last month and had played only 17 senior games, I thought he played pretty well. I think both Ben Currie and King have both made their debuts at age 18 and if we think back to what Currie was like in his first couple of years then there is reason to hope King can be a long term solution at centre. At U19 level and with more time and space you get to see his ball handling skills and footwork. He has got the natural ability, lets just hope he can adapt to the standard of play.
I would agree we missed Gidley when he went off - the team seemed rudderless and it lost those cohesive attacks. Everyone sees the game differently, but for me the turning point was Gidley missing that easy penalty, and almost immediately Ratchford knocking the ball on when carrying it one handed. Up to that point you could see some of the belief draining away from Hull and whilst I am sure they would have never given up, I am convinced we would have won it.
If Currie had kept hold of the ball as he slid over the Hull line in the last minutes, who would have won the Lance Todd ?

| I felt that at 10-0 up we needed another try and Hulls heads would start to drop. It didn't happen and Hull produced a magnificent fight back. Could look at Gidley going off or Currie losing the ball as reasons for losing, but that would be churlish, Hull were magnificent and over the full 80 minutes deserved their win.
He improved considerably in the second half, but how the hell did Sneyd get MotM?
Having now walked out of both Wembley and Old Trafford as a loser in recent years, I would take a Wembley defeat every day of the week compared to the total dejection of losing the Grand Final.
It won't, probably by the rules can't, happen, but having guaranteed a top four finish already I would give every one of those seventeen next week off and send the kids to France if necessary.

Danny Houghton all day for me. Although it's a good question whether a late Currie try would have changed the voting etc.
Will hold up my hands been critical of both King brothers of late but yesterday they massively took the opportunity and justified the faith Tony Smith has put in them both.
