But you have to admit... the game will never attract money or sponsors whilst games are played in quarter full stadiums. its amateurish and not attractive in a business sense in the slightest. It puzzles me why Huddersfield even bother to open all 4 stands in the first place. and the cameras always point towards the least popular stand
It's only a quarter full stadium because it's bigger than most! certainly far too big for us, and something we acknowledge is a problem, having 5/6,000 in a smaller stadium would look better, but not a lot we can do about that, or indeed to put more bums on seats, we've tried numerous ways in the past, but because of our lack of resources, we can't employ a big marketing team.
As for the people of Huddersfield, they don't seem interested in anything unless it involves glory hunting or bandwagon jumping, and a rift between the towns 2 professional clubs hasn't helped things either.

| Quote: matt king's cat "Huddersfield fans are among the best in RL for me. They might be few in numbers compared to some others but their hardcore are a real committed bunch. For us to throw some cheap jibes at them is out of order imo. Their fans response to Warrington winning the LLS in '11 with the flag reading 'Well Done Wire' they displayed in the west stand should live long in our memories. A great show of appreciation and respect from a great bunch of loyal supporters.'"
Have to agree 100 %. Small but dedicated fan base that is very fair minded. I can't understand why they have not attracted more people in the past.

i think you will find sponsors are more interested in how much tv airtime a club gets, not by how many backsides are sat on the seats in the ground!
where it went wrong with huddersfield regarding crowds was when Davy stopped 'giving away' season passes and fans turned their back on them once they went back up in price, even after a few good season at the top

| Maybe a few blow up bodies placed in the seats would look better than nowt. Maybe Del Boy has a few left.

| It could be used better as an example both cc could have been played there o. The one day similar to the magic weekend
The town does need to get behind its team somthing which it has not done for some time unfortunately
The fans they do have are sound just jot enough if them

| The general public of Huddersfield aren't interested in supporting the town's sports clubs, that's just one of the factors we're up against!
