I agree with the first part of your post KLW but without wishing to put the mockers on it Saints can't finish 4th can they? In any event that part of the hoodoo can't last one more game can it, so dependant upon how the split fixtures work out we may get a chance of putting it and them to bed.

Plenty of games for Sintellins to climb into 4th spot. Remember there are an additional 7 games after the split.

Yes there are plenty of games left and out of the pre split games there's possibly only Wigan that might take points of Saints (but you never know this season) meaning that they should still be at least 4 points behind us and Catalans and a bit of score difference to make up so effectively 5.

I know that it's all conjecture, but with that kind of margin lose a game après split early doors and you've gone.

Hoodoo a side. This year I would take saints at home in the semi final all day long compared to hull away, Wigan away or Catalans away. It wood be tough but what better way to reach the final in beating them the confidence would be sky high
