Quote: Fantastic Mr Catpiss "problem is, with Ash, its not tackle technique, it does seem like he's making the choice to put the sly digs in, which cull referred to as the lazy choices, the best players don't do that, they make their tackles, they dominate and control, thats how they get the best of the opposition.
Lesser players, take the lazy route of putting sly digs in, high tackles, punches etc, which bites them in the booty, case in point, players like Korkidas, the march bros, anyone that played for huddersfield in 2003. Scott moore, ryan bailey leeds version.
unfortunately Ash does straddle this line.'"
Some of the best recent props have been sly dig merchants, watch James Graham, Paul Gallon, Willie Mason, Ryan Bailey, Adrian Morley, Sam Burgess all will give plenty of sly digs and also questionable head tackles because they are aggressive in the tackle and want to dominate the opponent. I personally think its fine and if they take a game or 2 rest per season, like Westwood and Sims then so be it.
