We also looked at the train timetable 3 years ago. when we actually stayed in Carcassonne. However when we got there the timetable was different at the station than on the internet. They have reduced runnings at the weekend.
We found that we could get to Perpignan, but couldn't get back to Carcassonne after the game.

We ended up hiring a car whilst there in Carcassonne and paying £120 for the hire, which would have been £50 if we had booked it on the internet at home.

Not to worried about getting to perpignan we arrive early enough and staying in perpignan till tuesday.
