| Don't want to get too carried away.
Sandow was real class - from the 40/20 to the 30m pass out to Lineham for his 3rd try. Defence was very good too.
Clark played very well and was excellent for his try.
Gidley never looked like he'd miss a kick - and (as I don't know any more) was stupid with the professional foul (Very unlike him and unusual).
I don't think we played consistently well but really HKR didn't look like winning.
HKR have a fairly thin squad and with key players missing they were always going to be up against it. And that's why we mustn't get carried away.
The 'fitness' thing is partly down to the fact we had a lot more ball than Rovers from what I could see (but v Leeds it did look like there was more desire as much as fitness improvements).
We gave away too many needless penalties and had the rub of the green on a couple of occassions (was Linehams' 2nd try a bounce?).
We also seemed to want to score of nearly every set which led to errors.
Calmer heads need to prevail - (especially against the top teams, although I wouldn't want us going to the other extreme ie Wigoon with so much set play).
Atkins cocked up a couple of times but was also a handful with the ball taking defenders with him.
Penny didn't have a particularly good hame from why I could see. (Couple of difficult chances, and was out of position which led to a Rovers pen kick just going into touch. Give Albert Kelly his due though - he spotted it).
Sandow was my mom.

to be fair you have to be a bit of an Atkins Hater to not see the difference in his running when he came on.
to pick up on a dropped ball after a tremendous run is a bit churlish given the amount of ball the team put to ground today....
I liked Currie in the last week but I'm not sure he managed to complete a pass to his winger today....he also missed a very simple tackle in the first half and both he and penny did well to track back and get the man.
So it was good to see Atkins come on and play like he knew his position was no longer guaranteed...
strength in depth like I've not seen since 1986.

To be honest it was a bobble and a furry one at that, I actually think that Charlie Boy is underselling it by referring to it as a mere tassle

| Thought we played some stuff that was very pleasing to the eye at some points. I was worried that we hadn't scored enough in the first half, and we didn't, but we came out for the second half and did what we needed to well. Room for improvement still, we weren't always perfectly on song in attack but Sandow had a fantastic game. Westwood rolled back the years in the pack and Matty Russell also had a very bright game. A nice break next week will be welcome but I can't wait to get stuck into Wakefield. We really should be putting them to the sword, no offence to them.

Given a late pass and no time to cut inside going into touch too.
One thing i did remember was the amount of times we crossed only to be held up, we realy could have done a proper number on these today.'"
The pass I saw was all Curries fault. He passed it to the ankle of Penny. Currie held up his hands.

| I really don't see why any changes were made to the team after last week, when Atkins came on his initial break was good but he then dropped the ball so it counted for nothing. All I remember from him after that is another knock on.
