Good choice IMO.

Great player but for crying out loud for the last 2 years he has pretty much carried the pack. Reward it may be but does he really need yet more responsibility?. If he wants it then fair enough but I would rather see him concentrate on being an absolute top prop. Interested to see how it pans out as he will not be on the paddock for the 80. I suspect it is due to the respect all the players probably have for him that has swung it but whether he is an organiser and motivator only time will tell. I suspect or rather hope that Gidley will be a good mouth piece on the paddock

To be honest i do not know how much it really matters who is captain, when Morley was captain it was always Briers doing the talking organising etc.

He wasn't many people's first choices but he has most certainly earned it. He's gone far beyond what anyone expected of him when he signed and has carried our pack on so many occasions over the last few years. Good luck to him.
