If you look back over the Superleague era the points gap between 1st and 8th is too big to make up in 7 games. It has always been like like and will probaly continue to be so. So teams in 6th to 8th will only ever be making up the numbers. As with any league system, there will always be meaningless games for those at the bottom. So a straight top four is probably the way forward. Unless of course, you really want to make eevry minute count then perhaps all 12 teams should go into the playoffs or would that be just be exacerbating the situation.

i dont think there is a perfect system but all the Super 8s have done is confirm what we already knew after Rd 23. Instead of drawing it out evry season, we should just get on with it. Top 4 for me

At least when you played crap in play offs and were beaten your season could end and you wouldn't be forced to play meaningless games that no one wants to play in or watch

earn more points in the regular rounds then, its simple

Meast In odds it's near as dam impossible to all finish on scratch. If you believe it isn't, you really have only give it the simple thought you said it is.

Even teams that have made top 4 have ,basically, 2 games they could do without , let's see what attendances are like , I suspect mainly empty stadiums

Super 8s coming to a cracking crescendo for Round 8. Every minute has mattered all along, and those not up there challenging (including us) haven't made those minutes count.

2 bad results for Wigan & Leeds next week & Saints or Huddersfield could finish top....a win for us could scupper the hopes of Saints so i'm hoping our game against one of our nearest & dearest could be a full blooded affair. We can still play a major part in the competition.

Best regular season I've ever seen. The new system has been fantastic in my opinion.
