Quote: Saddened! "Is there a chance the arrival of Sandow might accelerate the departure of Tony Smith? Rumoured on both sides of the pond that Smith wasn't keen on Sandow the person and his antics and that it was a board-led decision. If there is any friction, which there has been with all of Sandow's previous coaches, would it be Smith that was moved on?'"
What exactly are these antics.........
The ones Ive heard of:
he had problems with Gambling and alcohol, though are these Just those lack of professionalism problems i.e being one of the lads rather than an alcoholic self destruct downward spiral problem???......anyway he talks about those things well and seems to have come through that ok.
He crashed a car on the way to a game ...ok he fled the scene, a bit odd but he hadn't been on the pop which is a bonus I guess.
He disagreed with his coaches style of play....hardly surprising the NRL can be boring as love at times.....
and He let rip on facebook in one post when everyone was giving him stick for the teams loss.
this isn't a drug cheat, a drug taker, a drink driver, a dog fiddler, a wife beater, or anything that's remotely outrageous.
I know we'd like a clean and Crispy Choir Boy Like Cooper dull as dish water Cronk...but I'm glad we've got Sandow and Not Cronk. (howls of derision from everywhere).
I like the way he plays rugby League,
I like the way he plays with a smile on his face, like the game is actually about entertaining people....
I like the Way he said His mum and Dad weren't into Flashy clothes so he bought them a house instead.....
I like the way he gave it to Issac Luke when he won the game for the eels against the Rabbits....ing good on him..... if he wins the game for us against the Pies...too right I want him to waltz up to Sam tomkins and ask him "how do you like them apples nancy boy?" the fact he got stick for that incident in the press when it was Luke who started it gives you a clue to what levels of nonsense Sandow had to put up with....
I cant wait..........
