If you read my opening post I never said the result was influenced by him. My whole post was to set out that as a spectators in the crowd he appeared to be out of his depth and was giving pens that no one understood.

On that - Atkins's try / No try. If he knocked on / lost the ball then its Saints ball.
If its knocked out of his hand then its a penalty try
If the saints player grounded it, its a goal line drop out.

Can someone explain how we were awarded a penalty on the 10m line?

Drivel ref (for both sides). The inconsistency in refereeing is so blatant, even Stevie Wonder could see it

Video ref gave the penalty for a ball steal in a two man tackle. Percival (i think) was underneath Atkins so a penalty try couldn't have been given as it wasn't clear he'd have grounded the ball anyway. 10m back as the penalty was over the try line.

Very good post CommanderShepard. The officials in the Championship are very poor, and then they give the two top sides in the Championship James Child , who really doesn't have a clue how to control a game. I hope my money isn't wasted when i attend on Sunday.

Any of you venting your anger against the ref last night ought to re watch last weeks game and see how Silverwood shafted the Whinos at Wigan

Now that was a complete game of incompetence by the ref and his back up clowns and Wigan were unduly awarded 12 points from nothing more than schoolboy officiating of the highest order
